Matthew 5:14-16

And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.  And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.  But Jesus said unto them, they need not depart; give ye them to eat.

What of Today’s Verse…

Our life will not be neutral. We will either point others away from God or show them that allegiance to God is important. Let’s make an intentional effort today to shine the light of God’s holiness and grace in all we do and say.

Prayer:

O God, may the words of my mouth, the actions of my life, and the influence of my deeds show others your holiness and grace and lead them to acknowledge your majesty and might. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Words of Wisdom

I say yes to my good…

The willingness to receive grows within me. Whatever good I may be seeking, even more is actually available.

Wherever I am, whatever I anticipate, my surroundings hold blessings for me. They may be more noticeable at some times than at other times. Yet at every turn in my life, I look for blessings because I know they are there. As I continue to be aware of this goodness, my blessings exceed my expectations. God is ever-present. My good is ever-present. The infinite abundance of blessings is so rich, so willingly given. It is wondrous to receive.

I cannot give a blessing without receiving one in return. As I give of myself, my good comes to me, heaped up, pressed down, and overflowing. An abundance of serenity, healing, order, and prosperity pours forth in my life. God gives, and I say yes to my good.
