Colossians 1:28
Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

What of Today’s Verse…

Our goal as Christians is not to obey some law, to adhere to some set of rules, or even be followers of some discipline. Our goal as Christians is to be conformed to the character and ministry of Jesus. This is the Spirit’s work in us (2 Cor. 3:18) and as Paul makes clear here and in other places (Galatians 4:19) that this is his goal in working with others.

Let us Pray:

Holy Lord, conform my heart, my words, my life, my ministry, and my actions to those of Jesus. I want him to be my Lord, not just in my words but also in my life. Through him I pray. Amen.’

Words of Wisdom

Each thought I hold and word I speak is lifted in prayer.

Wherever prayer takes me, I reach that higher consciousness that never fails to bless me. I enfold my hopes, dreams, goals, beliefs, and desires in prayer. And then, as though being lifted up on the wings of prayer, I understand the divine plan that is continually unfolding for me.

With zeal and discernment, I choose life affirming words. Each positive, uplifting thought I hold in mind or word I speak aloud becomes a prayer. With my thoughts grounded in faith, my realization of prayer’s power increases. In prayer, I am lifted to new levels of awareness and purpose.

“But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”—Isaiah 40:31
