Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.
What of Today’s Verse…
Sometimes the key to survival is simply “setting our jaw” and going on faithfully trusting that God is there helping us, despite the outward circumstances. Choosing joy through hope rather than despair, choosing patient endurance in times of affliction, and choosing faithfulness in prayer are all decisions of the will. We trust that God, who raised Jesus from the dead, can also change our circumstances because he hears our voice.

Let us Pray:
Create in me, O Mighty God, a resolute and steadfast heart so that I might persevere with joy no matter what the difficulty. This I ask through your faithful Son. Amen.

Get in the game…
Whatever you do not attempt, you will most certainly not achieve. The more you just sit and watch life go by, the less it will be to your liking.
Jump in and make a difference. Your complaints and excuses may be elaborate and well reasoned, yet they give you no fulfilment. If you’re not satisfied with the way things are, take action. Only you can fulfil the promise of your own life.
Get in the game, and play it like your life depends on it, because it does. Don’t expect it to be easy. The beauty of success and accomplishment are that they’re NOT easy. A body builder does not build large muscles by lifting small weights. The challenges are what will make you grow.
Achievement is not what you get. It is what you become. Stand up, step forward, and meet life head on.
