Psalm 119:130
The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.

What of Today’s Verse…

Sometimes the right path is not so difficult to find, we just need to know where to begin our search — the reading of God’s words. The right way is very seldom just the property of the bright, wise, and scholarly. It is very clear if we will but look for it!

Let us Pray:

Holy Father, thank you for making your will known through your words in Scripture. Bless me today as I open your word. May I find not only the answer to my questions, but may I find you and your precious will. Through Jesus I pray. Amen.

Understanding…

The most valuable learning consists of knowing AND understanding. Knowledge without understanding is shallow, fragile and easily disrupted.

If you only know what you want, you’ll often be frustrated by your lack of ability to get it. When you understand why you want it, when you understand your own strengths and skills, you’ll be in a much better position to achieve whatever you desire.

Those who know how to do a job are able to earn a living. Those who understand why the job must be done are able to make a fortune.

Do you understand enough about what you do, to adapt when the situation changes? Understanding is well worth the effort. It will help you know what to do when things don’t go as expected. It will prevent others from taking advantage of you. It will allow you to recognize opportunities. Work to attain a depth of understanding, and your knowledge will serve you well. Make the time to do it right.
