Proverbs 27:1
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

What of Today’s Verse…

Don’t you have your hands full with today? Don’t you find yourself distracted from the urgent and important things of today by worrying about the problems of tomorrow and fantasizing about all the possibilities down the road? Isn’t it a waste of time to be anxious about those things you have no influence over? So why…?

Let us Pray:

God, give me the strength to seize the moment and live the life today that will please you and bless others. Help my heart feel the urgency of today and act with boldness, kindness, and salvation instead of worrying so much about what may happen. Give me the immediacy of the moment I see in your son’s ministry. Through whom I pray. Amen.’

Words of Wisdom

Prayer…

Prayer, the most important activity of my day, supports me in all I do.

In reaching goals that are important to me, I practice time-tested, mindful methods. For instance, I show up on time to work and do a good job, which will help me, achieve career success and financial stability. I speak gently and supportively, doing my part in enabling my family to live in harmony.

I have only to be aware of God, however, to connect in consciousness with my Creator. Then in prayer, I let divine wisdom direct my thoughts to what is pure and meaningful, giving purpose to what I say and do. I am strengthened in my capacity to function at work and at home.

Prayer is the most important activity of my day and supports me in all that I do during the day. It is more than a goal; it is a way of living a spiritually enriched life.
