Psalm 56:4
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?

What of Today’s Verse…

One of the powerful things about having a Bible, a repository of God’s words, is that its age and varied countries and cultures remind us how enduring God’s truth actually is. Yet it is God in whom we put our trust. His enduring presence through cultures, centuries, and countries reminds us that eternal is outside our grasp, but God holds us in his grasp.

Let us Pray:

O Great and Eternal God, thank you that you are more stable than the ground on which I stand, more enduring than the mountain peaks I admire, and more constant than the waves upon the oceans. I trust my life and my future and soul with you. Please be pleased, but even more, help me to be constant in faithfulness to you. Through Jesus I ask this prayer. Amen.

Words of Wisdom

Going for you…

Stop and think of all the good things you have going for you today. You’re alive, intelligent, effective, filled with energy and able to accomplish those things you set your mind upon.

Sure there are challenges, and of course there are circumstances that could be improved. Yet the positive possibilities far outweigh the negative factors.

You are in a position, this very day, to change the world. By this time tomorrow, something can be better, more valuable, and less troublesome than it is right now, all because of you.

Something can be improved because you have the ability to improve it. You can think, you can act, and you can evaluate, make corrections, and persist until you get it right.

Yes, some things are beyond your control. That’s all the more reason for you to make the very best of those things you can influence and improve.

Take a moment to truly realize all the good things you have going for you this very day. Then select one of your very best possibilities, and make it real.
