Jeremiah 17:7-8
Blessed is the man that trust in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

What of Today’s Verse…

Trust.  Can we trust in God?  Is the Lord faithful?  While we may wish to have been alive when Jesus walked the earth or Jeremiah spoke fearlessly God’s hard truth, we are especially blessed to be alive today.  We stand at the end of an incredible stream of God work and know him to be profoundly faithful to his people.  We can launch out into the future with boldness because we know, as Psalm 139 says, God is there!

Let us Pray:

Holy God, I know you are there! In the morning, in the evening, in the long nights, I know I am not alone.  Thank you for knowing me and going with me through all my days.  Please make your presence known to me this day as I seek to honour you in what I do and say.  Through Jesus my Lord I ask this.  Amen.

Words of Wisdom

Use it, give it, be it…

You have within you everything necessary to achieve whatever you want. All you need to do is use it. Most people only use a small fraction of the power, energy and intelligence that is available to them.

All the things you’ve learned, all the things you’ve done, the things that interest you, all the people you know, and even the disappointments you’ve experienced — these are hidden assets, just waiting for you to use.

We spend so much time and effort looking for ways to get, that we don’t realize all the things we have to give. Yet it is what you give, the contributions you make to the world that will add true value and fulfillment to your life.

The way to realize the most value from your own life, to get the best "rate of return" on your own hidden assets, is to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
