Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him [God]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

What of Today’s Verse…

I believe! I believe that God not only knows me, but cares about me. I believe that God not only created the universe, but he knows the number of hairs on my head. I believe that God not only sent his Son to save the world, but that he’s sending him back to bring me home. What’s more, I believe that God is pleased by my belief.

Let Us Pray:

Almighty, Most Holy Lord, I thank you for your steadfast love and enduring faithfulness. I thank you for your grace and mercy. I thank you for your might and power. I thank you for your awesome holiness. I thank you… for being you and choosing to reveal yourself to mortals like me. Through Jesus, your final Word, I pray. Amen.’

Words of Wisdom

Always be thankful and appreciative…

Taking the time to express appreciation is one of the most positive things you can do. It’s a big boost for the other person — people love knows that they’re appreciated. It’s a great feeling for you, too. And there’s no better way to encourage people to do their best, than to let them know you appreciate what they’re doing.

Beyond showing appreciation for other people, it’s important to cultivate a general attitude of thankfulness. Stop and think about all the good things in your life and be thankful for them. Too often we focus on our problems and shortcomings, and that only gives them that much more control over our lives. Being thankful for the positive things in our lives helps us to focus on possibilities for improvement.

Think of someone to whom you’ve never before expressed appreciation and make it a point to let them know you’re thankful for what they’re doing. Make a habit of being thankful and appreciative for the positive things in your life. When you nurture and encourage the good things instead of dwelling on the problems, your life will be full of joy.
