Romans 14:8

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.

What of Today’s Verse…

One of the incredible realizations we can have as Christians is that our relationship with the Lord can be eternal. As long as we seek after him, he is always there and no one can separate us from his love. Even when we die, we go to be with the Lord. When we sleep in death, we are still “in the Lord.” Everything we have on earth is temporary except our love for the Lord Jesus and those with whom we share that love!

Let us Pray:

Almighty God, thank you so much for binding yourself to our world in Jesus and binding me close to you through his Lordship in my life. I look forward to the day when the Lord who I kneel to worship today will be recognized by all the living and the dead as the One True Lord. I pledge to you Father that I will live this day to honour him and by honouring him, honour you. In his name I pray. Amen.

Words of Wisdom

Growth:

I act on God-given inspiration with faith and understanding.

My prayer times inspire me to overcome any challenge and to grow wiser and stronger as I move through the experiences of this day.

Whatever is in store for me today, I have faith that all my thoughts and actions, whether they seem of value or not in the moment, are helping me move forward in important areas of growth.

I go through this day prayerfully and confidently, thanking God for the opportunity to know the fullness of life. With joyous enthusiasm, I affirm that God is guiding me in wondrous ways. I am thankful to be acting on my God-given inspiration with faith and understanding.

“My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.”—James 1:2-4
