Matthew 16:25
Spoken by Jesus: “For whoever will save his life shall lose it: and whoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”
What of Today’s Verse…
The key to life is letting go of ourselves and receiving Jesus. Please don’t forget to relinquish your life to the one who gave up his own life. When we lose our life to him, we can have it back forever with him.
Let us Pray:
Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, my Saviour and King. I long for your life to be made visible in me. To your glory I pray. Amen.
Words of Wisdom
Having enjoyed a sweet delicious taste, And having sometimes tasted what is bitter, do not greedily enjoy the sweet taste, do not feel aversion toward the bitter. When touched by pleasant contact, do not be enthralled; do not tremble when touched by pain. Look evenly on the pleasant and painful, not drawn or repelled by anything.
Eventually we will find (mostly in retrospect, of course) that we can be very grateful to those people who have made life most difficult for us.
