Psalms 90:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
What of Today’s Verse…
So often, we look up and time has passed us by. The things we promised ourselves we would accomplish, and the deeds we told others we would are left undone. Before we know it, days have become weeks, and weeks months, and months years. We find ourselves unable to do what we once assumed we could do any time we wanted. We must ask the Spirit of God to help us see and seize the opportunities the LORD places in our path.
Let us Pray:
Father, I confess that so often I leave undone what needs to be done. Please help me see your plans in each of my days and live in a way, which not only honours you, but also blesses those you want me to reach. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Words of Wisdom
Three Steps
I pray. I listen. I act.
In any situation, I can take three simple steps to see my way through Pray, listen, and act.
Prayer attunes me to God. It quiets my mind, stills my emotions, and prepares me to receive direction. Prayer turns me temporarily away from the conditions that concern me so I am open to ideas for solving them.
During prayer I pause, ready to hear or to sense from within my answer. Listening to God means waiting for the right ideas to illumine my mind. Intuitively sensing a course of action and accepting it readies me for the kind of action that cannot fail to bless and prosper me.
