2 Timothy 1:9
God who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.

What of Today’s Verse…

Before the beginning of time! How do you understand when that was? God first thought of us at a time we cannot even begin to understand! His reason for thinking of us was to demonstrate his grace and call others to his side. Jesus has always been God’s plan and we have always been his goal. Let’s make sure we respond by living his holy life!

Let us Pray:

Thank you so much, Father, for knowing me and thinking of my needs even before there was a world. I dedicate this day, the days that follow, to your honour as I try to live a life that reflects your righteousness and grace. In the name of Jesus, the one who had no sin, I pray. Amen.

Words of Wisdom
Joy

I am a joyful child of God.

When I look at the sky, the trees, and the land or into the eyes of someone I love, I experience the wonder of life. Noticing the simple blessings that surround me here and now, I tap into my inner wellspring of joy.

One joyful thought starts a chain reaction, just as the song of a bird at dawn invites others to join in. I choose to cultivate joy, to count my blessings and to share this feeling with others.

A joyous state of mind opens me to divine ideas and substance. I see new ways to express my potential and new opportunities to experience life as a joyful child of God.

“For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”–Isaiah 55:12
