Be patient and wait for the Lord to act; don’t be worried about those who prosper or those who succeed in their evil plans. Don’t give in to worry or anger; it only leads to trouble. Those who trust in the Lord will possess the land, but the wicked will be driven out.
I waited patiently for the Lord’s help; then he listened to me and heard my cry. He pulled me out of a dangerous pit, out of the deadly quicksand. He set me safely on a rock and made me secure. He taught me to sing a new song, a song of praise to our God. Many who see this will take warning and will put their trust in the Lord.
I depend on God alone; I put my hope in him. He alone protects and saves me; he is my defender, and I shall never be defeated.
Defeat does not come to those who trust in you, but to those who are quick to rebel against you. Teach me your ways, O Lord; make them known to me. Teach me to live according to your truth, for you are my God, who saves me. I always trust in you. May my goodness and honesty preserve me, because I trust in you.
Trust in the Lord. Have faith, do not despair. Trust in the Lord.
I will watch for the Lord; I will wait confidently for God, who will save me. My God will hear me.
Those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.
The Lord is good to everyone who trusts in him, so it is best for us to wait in patience—to wait for him to save us—
When it happens, everyone will say, “He is our God! We have put our trust in him, and he has rescued us. He is the Lord! We have put our trust in him, and now we are happy and joyful because he has saved us.” Yet the Lord is waiting to be merciful to you. He is ready to take pity on you because he always does what is right.
Happy are those who put their trust in the Lord.
