Jesus Is All You Need…

God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause.  With all his abundant wealth through Christ Jesus, my God will supply all your needs.  And for this reason I tell you:  When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for.

There is nothing in us that allows us to claim that we are capable of doing this work.  The capacity we have comes from God; I ask that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you, how rich are the wonderful blessings he promises his people, and how very great is his power at work in us who believe.  This power working in us is the same as the mighty strength which he used when he raised Christ from death and seated him at his right side in the heavenly world.

I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me.  But his answer was: “My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak.”  I am most happy, then, to be proud of my weaknesses, in order to feel the protection of Christ’s power over me.  No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us!  For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below—there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  For in our union with Christ he has blessed us by giving us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world.  He who did not even keep back his own Son, but offered him for us all!  He gave us his Son—will he not also freely give us all things?  God will do whatever you ask for in my name, so that the Father’s glory will be shown through the Son.

“When that day comes, you will not ask me for anything.  I am telling you the truth: the Father will give you whatever you ask of him in my name.  Until now you have not asked for anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your happiness may be complete.”

God’s divine power has given us everything we need to live a truly religious life through our knowledge of the one who called us to share in his own glory and goodness.  In this way he has given us the very great and precious gifts he promised, so that by means of these gifts you may escape from the destructive lust that is in the world, and may come to share the divine nature.

Praise the LORD, my soul!  All my being, praise his holy name!  Praise the LORD, my soul, and do not forget how kind he is.  He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.  He keeps me from the grave and blesses me with love and mercy.
