God’s Love Means More Than Life
This is the hope of all who believe–to have the type of relationship with God. We all have a tendency to wander away from God, so there is the encouragement to “stay close” to the Lord. Cling to him, not as a frightened child, but as one filled with a strong hunger for God
More than anything else put God’s work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well.
Then God will purify them and put them to the test, just as gold and silver are purified and tested. They will pray in His name, and He will answer them. He will say, “You are my people,” and they will reply, “You, LORD, are our God!”
You are my God. I worship you. In my heart, I long for you, as I would long for a stream in a scorching desert. I have seen your power and your glory in the place of worship.
Your love means more than life to me, and I praise you. As long as I live, I will pray to you. I will sing joyful praises and be filled with excitement like a guest at a banquet. I think about you before I go to sleep, and my thoughts turn to you during the night. You have helped me, and I sing happy songs in the shadow of your wings.
I stay close to you, and your powerful arm supports me.
