John 5:14
“Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.”
The man in question was paralyzed for thirty-eight years. Jesus healed him and left him but after some time met him in the temple. This man came to the temple to express his appreciation to the almighty God. When Jesus met him again, He gave him counsel about his condition.
Therefore, this explains why a follow up is necessary after winning a soul for Christ.
