1 Peter 2: 2-3
Be like newborn babies, always thirsty for the pure spiritual milk, so that by drinking it you may grow up and be saved.  As the scripture says, “You have found out for yourselves how kind the Lord is.”

What of Today’s Verse…

Salvation is a precious thing! But like a newborn baby, we become obnoxious or sick if we stay in the same place we were spiritually when we were saved! Read Hebrews 6 and see what God has to say about remaining immature! We must really want to grow. We must crave what is good and what builds us up. What are you going to do today to satisfy your spiritual appetite?

Let us Pray:

My almighty God, thank you for loving and saving me I really want to mature in your grace. Bless me each day as I seek to pattern your holy habits, and filling myself spiritually with the things that will help me grow. But Holy God, I know that true growth comes only from you, so I ask you to strengthen me with your Spirit as I pursue your character. Through Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.

Words of Wisdom

I am serene as I rest in the stillness of God’s perfect peace.

In Your presence, God, I find the personal peace I desire and need. Your presence strengthens and sustains my body and my very soul.

I still my thoughts and focus my attention on You in the serenity of prayer. In Your presence there is a peace that is beyond description, a peace that transcends any situation or condition. I breathe in, and my awareness of You increases. I exhale, and I release all concerns to You.

Thank You, God, for Your assuring, strengthening presence of peace. In silent communion with You, I discover new depths of serenity, and I know that all is well. I am restored in spirit, mind, and body.

“He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul.”—Psalm 23:2-3
