Jeremiah 17:7-8
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

What of Today’s Verse…

“Trust.” Can we trust in God? Is the Lord faithful? While we may wish to have been alive when Jesus walked the earth or Jeremiah spoke fearlessly God’s hard truth, we are especially blessed to be alive today. We stand at the end of an incredible stream of God work and know him to be profoundly faithful to his people. We can launch out into the future with boldness because we know, as Psalm 139 says, God is there!

Let us Pray:

Holy God, I know you are there! In the morning, in the evening, in the long nights, I know I am not alone. Thank you for knowing me and going with me through all my days. Please make your presence known to me this day as I seek to honor you in what I do and say. Through Jesus my Lord I ask this. Amen.

Words of Wisdom

Living from spiritual principles, I express true spiritual freedom.

Freedom of the soul is an inner condition that I can reach through the discipline of spiritual practices. Through prayer, reading, and interaction with supportive people, I grow in awareness of my own strengths and of the activity of God in my life.

Although it may appear at times that freedom lies in being rid of spiritual discipline, this is an illusion. By living from spiritual principles, I am free from thinking or saying anything negative or limiting.

By engaging in spiritual activities, I build a foundation of awareness that frees me to grow and evolve fully. Each moment of prayer enhances my relationship with God and brings me true freedom.

“I will keep your law continually, forever and ever. I shall walk at liberty, for I have sought your precepts.”—Psalm 119:44-4
