1 John 4:20-21
If a man say, love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?   And this commandment have we from him, that he who loveth God love his brother also.

What of Today’s Verse…

Love! The word can mean anything.  Many in the Christian community have tried to define it by a dictionary or lexicon, not realizing the key word for love, agape, is defined by action.  Before Christians got a hold of agape, it meant the same thing our word today does: just about anything!  But if you read 1 John, you see what love is by what God does.  God demonstrates his love.  He asks us to do the same for our brothers and sisters. Love must be more than talk; it must be genuinely demonstrated in action!

Let us Pray:

Precious Father, you have so graciously shared your love with me.  I must confess, in my heart I intend to love others as you do, but my intentions often get washed away with "busyness" or timidity.  Father, through your Spirit, prompts me to show my love to others in actions rather than just thought and talk.  Through Jesus, your greatest demonstration of love I pray.  Amen.

Healing…

Aglow with God’s healing light; I am an expression of radiant wholeness.

At one with the ever-present peace of God, I relax and allow my mind and body to remain at ease.  I breathe slowly and comfortably.  With each breath I release, I let go of any stress or worry.  With each breath I take in, I relax more deeply and completely.

I imagine shaded ribbons of translucent colour in a rainbow arched across a sunlit sky. Nature’s prism is radiant with colour and light.

I, too, am a natural expression of radiant light.  Each cell in my body dances with the glow of health and wholeness.  Each cell in my mind beams with sustaining brilliance.

God is the light, power, and life within that heal and strengthen me.  I am an expression of radiant wholeness.

There be many that say, Who will shew us any good?  LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. —Psalm 4:6
