2 Thessalonians 1:3
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meeting, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of everyone of you all toward each other aboundeth.

What of Today’s Verse…

"Increase my faith, O Lord." "Increase my strength." "Increase my wisdom." We often pray for these things, but when is the last time you thanked God for your love increasing? Can you think of anything more exciting to say about your church than "The love everyone of you has for each other is increasing!" Let’s pray and act to make it so!

Let us Pray:

Holy God may your love so fill us that I share it with others who call on your name. And may love grow and increase in my life so others may readily see its benefits and recognize that it is a direct response to your lavish love shared with me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Words of Wisdom

Taking a step at a time…

"That which we persist in doing becomes easier for us to do; not that the nature of the thing itself is changed, but that our power to do is increased."

Do you have some daunting task or large project facing you? Are you having trouble getting motivated to do it?

The best approach is to break it into small, manageable parts. Work on each part, one at a time until that part is finished. Then go on to the next part. This approach has many benefits.

First, it gives you a way to work on your project when you don’t have a lot of time available. For example, if you have only 15 minutes until you need to leave for an appointment across town, you would probably not even consider doing any work on your large project — that’s just not enough time to get anything done. However it is enough time to do a little work on just one small section. You’ll be surprised at how 15 minutes here and 20 minutes there will add up.

Also, you get more of a sense of accomplishment along the way, as you finish each part. Not only that, but this approach makes it easier for you to delegate work to others if you need to.

Take one step at a time, confidently and consistently, and you’ll get where you want to go.
