Matthew 18:15

If thy brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you have gained thy brother.

What of Today’s Verse…

The right thing is so hard to do sometimes. It is so much easier to gossip, to mention another’s wrong against us in a prayer with others, to pass around innuendo. But only one thing is the right thing to do! Go to the person who has wronged you and try to keep the damage contained to just the two of you.

Let us Pray:

Lord God Almighty, forgive my foolish and selfish ways. Through your Spirit, help me to be as forgiving as you are. Give me courage to confront lovingly those who have sinned against me, but if I cannot bring reconciliation, help me to forgive as you have forgiven me. Through Jesus, the atoning sacrifice for sin I pray. Amen.

Words of Wisdom

Welcome Good…

I accept and give thanks for the greater good of God that is awaiting me.

Transformation is a constant in life. Rather than resist the new, I welcome the greater good that can be brought about through something I had not previously considered.

If the door to a familiar circumstance seems to be closing, I move toward another door that is opening for me. I see warm, inviting light drawing me in. I envision new faces, situations, and settings. My own life and the lives of others are enhanced by the insights and abilities I have to offer. I picture new friends and new goals in this fresh start.

With each new experience and life lesson, I merge the former me with the new, invigorated me. And as I picture new doors flinging open and new horizons beckoning me, I accept and give thanks for the greater good of God that is awaiting me.

“For everyone that ask, receives; and he that sleekest find; and to him that knock it shall be opened.”–Matthew 7:8
