2 Timothy 1:9
God hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
What of Today’s Verse…
Before the beginning of time! How do you understand when that was? God first thought of us at a time we cannot even begin to understand! His reason for thinking of us was to demonstrate his grace and call others to his side. Jesus has always been God’s plan, and we have always been his goal. Let’s make sure we respond by living that holy life!
Let us Pray:
Thank you so much, Father, for knowing me and thinking of my needs, even before there was a world. I dedicate this day to your honour and pledge to live a life that reflects your righteousness and grace. Through Jesus, the one who had no sin, I pray. Amen.
Words of Wisdom
Guidance…
I live a life of wisdom and fulfilment as I follow the light of Spirit.
Making decisions based on personal preferences, I decide what I wear, what I eat, and how I relax. Now and then I am faced with a major decision that affects not only me, but also co-workers, loved ones, or people I’ve never even met.
Rather than allowing possible pressure or fear to build, I rely on the light of Spirit to guide me. I remind myself that with God as my constant companion through life, I have the ultimate resource of all wisdom.
Turning within, I become serenely quiet and receptive to divine wisdom. I move forward, following the light of Spirit that is revealing the way before me. In that sacred light, I live a life of wisdom and fulfilment.
“The LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night.”-Exodus 13:21
