We Are All Important To God

Self-importance is a dangerous condition. Often when we want to be the biggest or the best, we really show that we are afraid of being forgotten. We don’t want people to ignore us, so we try to be ahead of others. We need to be more concerned about what God thinks of us instead of our peers.
Because God cares for all of his children–including the poor, the weak, and the ignorant–we must care for them also. Our natural desire is to associate with important people, and ignore those who are not. Let’s fight this impulse and care for those who are weaker.

The Greatest In The Kingdom Of Heaven…

At that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, who is the greater in the kingdom of Heaven? And Jesus called a little child to Him and set him in their midst, and said, truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven.
Therefore whoever shall humble himself like this little child, this one is the greater in the kingdom of Heaven. And whoever shall receive one such little child in My name receives Me.

Temptations To Sin…

But whoever shall offend one of these little ones who believes in Me, it would be better for him that a millstone were hung around his neck, and he be sunk in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For it is necessary that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense comes! And if your hand or your foot causes you to offend, cut them off and throw them from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if your eye offends you, pluck it out and throw it from you.
It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the hell of fire.

The Lost Sheep…

Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I say to you that in Heaven their angels always behold the face of My Father in Heaven. For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.
What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them strays, does he not leave the ninety and nine and go into the mountains and seek the straying one? And if it happens that he finds it, truly I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety and nine which did not stray.
Even so it is not the will of your Father in Heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
