2 Corinthians 5:21

God made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

What of Today’s Verse…

Righteousness! That’s what we are. God’s righteousness. We are the testimonies of how holy, just, and gracious he truly is, because in Jesus, we are his righteousness!

Let us Pray:

Thank you, O Almighty God, for making me righteous in the blood of your son’s death. May people see in me a reflection of your holiness, justice, and mercy. Through Jesus, who sacrificed for my sins, I pray. Amen.

Words of Wisdom

Breathe...

I am refreshed by every breath and every prayer.

If I should become upset about something, I calm down by breathing more slowly and centering my thoughts on God. Then I think more clearly and allow divine guidance to show me the best way to resolve the situation.

If I am tired or feel overworked, taking a few deep breaths will rejuvenate me and give my body the oxygen enrichment it needs to heal sore muscles and ease any discomfort I may be feeling.

Just as I am physically refreshed by clean air, so, too, is my soul refreshed by prayer. Taking slower, deeper breaths during my prayer times, I am blessed both physically and spiritually. God has given me the gift of life. Each breath of air I take and each prayer I offer nourishes me.

“The LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”-Genesis 2:7
