Today’s Verses – Total Sufficiency…

God is able to give you all grace in full measure; so that ever having enough of all things, you may be full of every good work:   my God will give you all you have need of from the wealth of His glory in Christ Jesus.  For this reason I say to you, whatever you make a request for in prayer, have faith that it has been given to you, and you will have it.  Not as if we were able by ourselves to do anything for which we might take the credit; but our power comes from God; and how unlimited is His power to us who have faith, as is seen in the working of the strength of His power,

I am able to do all things through Him who gives me strength.  And He said to me, My grace is enough for you, for My power is made complete in what is feeble.  Most gladly, then, will I take pride in my feeble body, so that the power of Christ may be on me.

As it is said in the holy Writings, because of You we are put to death every day; we are like sheep ready for destruction.  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has given us every blessing of the Spirit in the heavens in Christ:  He who did not keep back His only Son, but gave Him up for us all, will He not with Him freely give us all things?

Whatever, request you make in His name that I will do, so that the Father may have glory in the Son.  On that day you will put no questions to Me.  Truly I say to you, whatever request you make to the Father, He will give it to you in My name.

Up to now you have made no request in My name: do so, and it will be answered, so that your hearts may be full of joy.  Because by His power He has given us everything necessary for life and righteousness, through the knowledge of Him who has been our guide by His glory and virtue; And through this He has given us the hope of great rewards highly to be valued; so that by them we might have our part in God’s being, and be made free from the destruction which is in the world through the desires of the flesh.

Give praise to the Lord, O my soul; let not all his blessings go from your memory.  He has forgiveness for all your sins; he takes away all your diseases; He keeps back your life from destruction, crowning you with mercy and grace.

Today’s Scriptural Inspirations
Luke 21:5-19

Some of the followers were talking about the Temple.  They said, “This is a beautiful Temple, built with the best stones.  Look at the many good gifts that have been offered to God.”  But Jesus said, “The time will come when all that you see here will be destroyed.  Every stone of these buildings will be thrown down to the ground.  Not one stone will be left on another.”

Some followers asked Jesus, “Teacher, when will these things happen?  What will show us that it is time for these things to happen?”  Jesus said, “Be careful!  Don’t be fooled.  Many people will come using my name.  They will say, ‘I am the Messiah’ and ‘The right time has come!’  But don’t follow them.  When you hear about wars and riots, don’t be afraid.  These things must happen first.  Then the end will come later.”

Then Jesus said to them, “Nations will fight against other nations.  Kingdoms will fight against other kingdoms.  There will be great earthquakes, sicknesses, and other bad things in many places.  In some places there will be no food for the people to eat.  Terrible things will happen, and amazing things will come from heaven to warn people.  “But before all these things happen, people will arrest you and do bad things to you.  They will judge you in their synagogues and put you in jail.  You will be forced to stand before kings and governors.  They will do all these things to you because you follow me.   But this will give you an opportunity to tell about me.

Decide now not to worry about what you will say.  I will give you the wisdom to say things that none of your enemies can answer.  Even your parents, brothers, relatives, and friends will turn against you.  They will have some of you killed.

Everyone will hate you because you follow me.  But none of these things can really harm you.  You will save yourselves by continuing strong in your faith through all these things.
