Today’s Verses – Is Our Forgiveness

To the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.  In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

You forgave the iniquity of your people; you covered all their sin. Selah.  As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.  My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.  But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  “For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.  And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcised of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,

I will cleanse them from all the guilt of their sin against me, and I will forgive all the guilt of their sin and rebellion against me.  Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.  I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.  Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.  Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
