Do Not Be Troubled Have Faith In God…

The LORD is good; he protects his people in times of trouble; he takes care of those who turn to him.  We are often troubled, but not crushed; sometimes in doubt, but never in despair; there are many enemies, but we are never without a friend; and though badly hurt at times, we are not destroyed.  When I am surrounded by troubles, you keep me safe.  You oppose my angry enemies and save me by your power.

Our High Priest is not one who cannot feel sympathy for our weaknesses.  On the contrary, we have a High Priest who was tempted in every way that we are, but did not sin.  Let us have confidence, then, and approach God’s throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it.  So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own.  There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings.  “Do not be worried and upset,” Jesus told them.  “Believe in God and believe also in me.

We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.  I will be glad and rejoice because of your constant love.  You see my suffering; you know my trouble.  I look to the mountains; where will my help come from?  My help will come from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.  Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you.

Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the merciful Father, and the God from whom all help comes!  He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God.

Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God’s peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.
