Luk 12:32

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

My expectations are built on the firm foundation of God’s presence with me…

Worry and stress are not new to life on earth.  Jesus encouraged people not to worry, giving them example after example of God’s love and care for them.  Jesus gently guides their expectation away from fear and toward God and the greatness of God.

What are my expectations for today, for this hour, for this moment?  Because I know that God loves me and cares for me, I feel the assurance of my Creator with me now and at all times:

“God, I expect You to bless me, and I live in the joy of such expectation.  What a relief it is not to worry about what could happen but, instead, believe that there is a blessing for me no matter what happens.  My expectations are built on the firm foundation of Your presence.  Thank You, God, for blessing me.”
