Joel 2:28-29

The gift of the Spirit to ordinary believers would come centuries later, only after Jesus rose from the death and returned to heaven. You can read about this gift in Act 2 in the New Testament, This was a very new thing, because only special people like the prophets had the gift of the Holy Spirit until Acts 2. Now the Holy Spirit, who is God, lives in every believer. Now each of us has at least one spiritual gift that we can use to help other believers in their faith and tell the good news (see 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

The Lord Will Work Wonders

Later, I will give my Spirit to everyone. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions. In those days I will even give my Spirit to my servants, both men and women.

I will work wonders in the sky above and on the earth below. There will be blood and fire and clouds of smoke.  he sun will turn dark, and the moon will be as red as blood before that great and terrible day when I appear.

Then the LORD will save everyone who faithfully worships him. He has promised there will be survivors on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and among them will be his chosen ones.
