God With Us
Isaiah 7: 10-16

Ever since the earliest times of the Old Testament period, people had been looking for the Messiah—the Savior who would rescue them from the suffering caused by sin (see Genesis 3: 1-15).

As time went by, the picture of this Savior became more and more clear. Now Isaiah further defines the Savior by promising that he would be the Son of a virgin and that his name would be “God is with us,” or Immanuel.
