New World Perspective
Matthew 8: 23-27
(Mark 4: 35-41; Luke 8: 22-25)
The world we know today is sometimes a frightening place, with its storms of poverty, crime, sickness, and suffering. The disciples feared the wind and the waves. They knew these natural forces were out of their control. But they did not yet understand that Jesus is Lord of all, including storms.
Jesus is Lord over everything that frightens us. Our fears are quieted when we recognize that he is the one in control. What storms may be raging in your life?
