God Hears The Cry Of Faith
Matthew 15: 21-28
(Mark 7: 24-30)
Some people might think Jesus was not very kind to this woman when he didn’t grant her request right away. But Jesus was teaching her, and us, that sincerity and true faith are important to God.
It is also important for us to realize that we need to be honest about what we pray for. Jesus knew this woman was coming to him because of her faith, but he wanted her to recognize this in herself. We develop a strong faith when we believe and trust God will—and does—respond to our needs.
