Jesus Confuses His Audience
Mark 2: 1-12
(Matthew 9: 1-8, Luke 5: 17-26)
People around Galilee were getting use to the idea that Jesus had an unusual power to heal. But then he did something that shook up some of them: he actually forgave a man’s sins! Only God had the power to forgive sins.
With all the knowledge these people had as teachers of the Law, they still did not realize who Jesus was. They didn’t understand that Jesus had come to earth to heal and forgive. Do you recognize Jesus?
