Jesus Heals A Man Who Could Not Walk
Matthew 9: 32-34

“Orthodox” is a word that comes from the Greek word meaning “right thing.” The Pharisees who criticized Jesus in verse 34 were thought to be orthodox, but in reality, they were not. They may have followed the laws on the outside, but in their hearts, their motives were anything but orthodox.

One of the most baffling facts is that such “authorities” can be enemies of the truth revealed in God’s Word. We should be respectful of those in authority, as Jesus himself commanded. But we also need to put our faith in God’s promises because he never lies.
