Remember
Isaiah 46: 9, 10

Christianity is a religion that stresses the importance of the use of your memory. The act of taking communion at church is done so we will remember what Christ did for us (1 Corinthians 11:24). The world says to “remember the Alamo,” “remember Oklahoma City,” and “never forget the Holocaust.”

God acknowledges these tragedies, but he also asks us to refocus our thoughts on his mighty acts. If we lose sight of God we see only tragedy and examples of massive destruction and inhumanity. But when we remember God and the sacrifice of his Son on the cross, we can have hope in a future that is in the hands of a mighty God.
